The 2024 State of the Science in Hospice and Palliative Care has been planned in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Attendees of the 2024 State of the Science will have until April 30, 2024 at 11:59pm PT to claim CE credits.
Physicians
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits*
The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AAHPM designates this live activity for up to 7 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
*The number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is subject to change based upon presenter availability and final abstract acceptance COI disclosure mitigation.
Evaluation period closes for claiming CME credits points on April 30, 2024, at 11:59PM PT. There will be a $50.00 charge for re-opening evaluation access for late submissions through December 31, 2024.
Social Workers (ASWB) Credit Designation
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive 7 GENERAL continuing education credits
RN and APRN (ANCC NCPD) Credit Designation
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer nursing continuing professional development credits by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Successful conference completion awards the RN participant up to 7 credit hours* (60 minutes per credit hour) in blended activity format. Attendees must attend the session in its entirety, attest to attendance at the time of evaluation, and complete/submit the online evaluations within the time frames designated.
NCPD certificates will delineate Category 1 Designated Pharmacotherapeutic Credit Hours earned in addition to NCPD hours awarded for successfully completed conference sessions.
