AAHPM Leadership Forum: Ignite

The 2023 Virtual Ignite Leadership Forum is designed to support hospice and palliative care professionals as they develop the capabilities necessary to lead their organization in implementing new directions.
This program includes a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary faculty and learners from diverse backgrounds and practice settings. Sessions are designed to provide emerging interprofessional palliative and hospice leaders with insights into their individual leadership strengths and growth opportunities to advance their leadership contributions and career as you develop your leadership skills to find the path to "Yes!"
This course is designed to enhance the understanding of leadership skills for all palliative care providers including but not limited to physicians, advanced practice professionals, nurses, and pharmacists. It caters to diverse backgrounds and career stages, aiming to broaden their knowledge in a variety of care settings.
Desired Outcomes:
- To incorporate StrengthsFinder™ Leadership Strategies into practice application to increase performance by integrating the most common strengths and strategies to successfully advocate for the needs of your program, your team and yourself.
- Over 80% of learners will self-report this activity enhanced their knowledge/skills/strategy or performance to increase competency, influence behaviors, and/or improve outcomes in their individual leadership skills and advocacy path to “yes”.

Continuing Education
The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

Successful completion includes attesting to meaningful activity participation and completion/submission of activity evaluation within the time frame designated.

Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Recognition Statement
This activity is planned in the context of one or more of the ABMS/ACGME Competencies including Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professionalism, Systems-Based Practice and Work in Interdisciplinary Teams. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to:
- 5.0 MOC medical knowledge points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.
It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting MOC credit. By submitting your CME activity evaluation, you grant AAHPM permission to submit completion information to ACCME to grant respective BOARD MOC program credit or points as applicable.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing. An $85 processing fee will apply to all cancellations. No refunds will be made on cancellations received in writing after September 28, 2023, at noon CT. All refunds will be processed after the course concludes.
AAHPM reserves the right to substitute faculty, cancel or reschedule sessions for unforeseen circumstances.
