Oropharyngeal Symptoms in Palliative Care

Oropharyngeal symptoms like oral mucositis (OM), xerostomia, and dysgeusia are common but underreported, underrecognized, and undertreated. Oral care is seldom prioritized, and inadequate treatment can result in complications and poorer outcomes.^1–3
