A Message from the President

Now Is the Time, More Than Ever

It is almost impossible to believe that as I share this message, we are looking to close out 2020, reflecting on how our previous normal became our now normal and still feeling uncertainty about our next normal in 2021! I want to thank all Academy staff; our CEO, Wendy-Jo Toyama, MBA CAE; our CMO, Joe Rotella, MD MBA HMDC FAAHPM; our Board of Directors and committee chairs; and all of our members for their perseverance over the past 9 months. We are moving successfully to close out this year and prepare for our first-ever virtual Assembly in 2021. I look forward to sharing all of the opportunities the meeting will hold for our organization and highlighting the successes of the Academy in 2020. Clearly you will see that opportunities arose out of the pandemic and that we made strides to meet the challenges.
