AAHPM’s Intensive Review Course is designed to facilitate a framework for physicians to prepare for the hospice and palliative medicine certification board examination as outlined in the 2022 Hospice and Palliative Medicine Certification Examination Blueprint.
This intensive review is further intended to advance the knowledge, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical judgment skills, attitudes, and strategies of physicians and advanced practice providers practicing hospice and palliative medicine.
Content is focused on the ability to make appropriate diagnostic and clinical decisions that have important consequences for patients and families experiencing serious and complex illnesses.
This course is planned for in-person attendance only. It will be recorded and made available at a later date.
About the Intensive Review Course

AAHPM will require all registrants to submit proof of vaccination (i.e. Pfizer, Modera, Johnson and Johnson) against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to meeting.
AAHPM Physician Member - $1,200

AAHPM Allied Health Professional - $950
AAHPM nonphysician healthcare professionals who are members of AAHPM (eg. nurse, social worker, pharmacist, physician assistant, etc.)

Continuing Education Credits
The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.
The AAHPM designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful activity completion includes attesting to meaningful participation in the activity and completion/submission of activity evaluation within the time frame designated.
The AAFP has reviewed Intensive Review Course and deemed it acceptable for up to 18.25 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 08/11/2022 to 08/13/2022.
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Evaluation period closes September 30, 2022, for claiming CME credit.
Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing. A $150 processing fee will apply to all cancellations. No refunds will be made on cancellations postmarked after August 1, 2022. All refunds will be processed after the course concludes.
If the course moves to a fully virtual meeting, registrants of the in-person meeting will automatically be transferred to the virtual meeting.
AAHPM reserves the right to substitute faculty, cancel or reschedule sessions unforeseen circumstances. No refunds can be made for lodging, airfare, or any other expenses related to attending the summer course offerings.
